Transparent Oracle Sunday!!

1, Gateway: Spring (East).  East is the direction of the rising sun, and thus of new beginnings and fresh ideas, as well as knowledge, intellectual ideas and thoughts.  The Gateway of Spring brings us fresh new beginnings and the first blossoming of creativity.  There is an innocence about the energies of this Gateway, and an optimism, and perhaps these lovely energies will bring new insights, as well as new creativity.

39, Guide: Wolf (North).  North is the direction of Earth, and thus of the physical or physically formed or manifested world, and of nurturing, health, finances and security, and the wisdom associated with living simply, being well-grounded, and being in touch with our physical body.  Wolves are seen by many as dangerous, even evil, but we should always keep in mind when we are working with Wolf that he is the ancestor of the dogs we humans love so much.  Wolf has a strong sense of family, and of rank within that family.  Wolf can communicate over great distances, and has the stamina to travel those distances in the first place.  Wolf has keen instincts, and a strong urge to protect his territory.

18, Guide: Horse (South). South is the direction of the midday sun and the peak of power and illumination; this direction is associated with passionate drive and creativity. Horse is basically about going somewhere; after all, humans use Horse as a means for transportation.  Because the ability to get to where you need to be and thus, transform yourself is perceived as having authority, this card also represents sovereignty, the kind of sovereignty the stallion has over his herd.  This leadership is maintained by courage, strength, and skills learned through a lifetime.

I then stacked the cards to create my mandala.  This one is circular, but not static at all; instead, everything seems to be moving in a clockwise circle.  Both the Wolf and the Horse tell of leadership, of authority and sovereignty over the herd or pack.  This leadership may be a new thing for me, or I may end up achieving some great new insights into myself, and into my ability to lead others.  But who is leading who?  Is the Wolf nudging the Horse, or is the Horse leading the Wolf?  Horse can move quickly, yet is sometimes easy to distract; Wolf has stamina, and the hunger to get the job done.  What a powerful combination of energies at a time of new potential!

I threw another Wild Unknown Tarot card, and got another Wands card.  The Three of Wands.  The three Wands create a triangle, point down.  Fertility, anyone?  That triangle is one of the symbols of the womb and the Chalice of the Goddess, and that is what this card brings to us.  The background of the card is pretty null, vertical lines with an off-white background, but the inside of the triangle is filled with beautiful rainbow colors, just like the Star of the Major Arcana!  Here is creativity in a really supportive environment; here, in this symbol of potential, is a vision of what may be, what could be manifested tomorrow!  Exciting!  And the vision is right on the card, in that triangular portal to the future!

Now, courtesy of my friend at http://dispatchesfromasgard.tumblr.com , a lovely Sanskrit chant:

Om
Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya
Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya
Mrtyor-Maa Amrtam Gamaya
Om Shanti, Om Shanti, Om Shanti

Om, Lead us from Unreality (of Transitory Existence) to the Reality (of Self),
Lead us from the Darkness (of Ignorance) to the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge),
Lead us from the Fear of Death to the Knowledge of Immortality.
Om Peace, Om Peace, Om Peace.
