4/1/14

The Chariot reversed/Seven of Pentacles.  The Chariot, which corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and sensitive, emotional and imaginative energy that likes to stay the same or follow the same course), Cancer (“I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody), Cheth (the fence), and the Path between Geburah (the place where forms and structure are challenged or affirmed) and Binah (female receptive energy and the origin of form and structure), tells in an upright postion of having the control necessary to focus on goals, and to avoid distractions.  The Chariot is a Water card, not an Air card, so perhaps our problem here is that we are trying to clear the mind rather than the feelings.  . The Seven of Pentacles (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, law and order, in Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn) tells of pauses and choices and assessments. This card has a heaviness to it, as the number 7 tells of a pause and the suit of Pentacles is mainly secure and still.  I’m wondering if this pause is the problem or the cure here; I think looking before I leap might be good advice, but the looking process can’t be too long, or inertia will overcome.  I get the feeling that the energies of the Seven of Pentacles just might be preventing my Chariot from surging forward; I can’t fear those energies that build and then rush forward, like a wave in the ocean.  Those Watery energies just might help me to make the choice that the Seven of Pentacles requires.

My Thoth cards are the Ace of Disks and Adjustment/Justice.  Aces present potential only, and the Ace of Disks (Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive, Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, dual, social) tells of the presence of potential that is connected in some way to the physical world, and perhaps the physical world is where I can have the most impact today.  Crowley calls this card the root of the element of Earth, and thus it tells of all possibilities within that element, from the very best to the very worst.  It seems that the element of Earth is important to my well-being today, and perhaps it is the awareness of that root that will help me.  After all, the mighty oak cannot reach for the clouds without that strong taproot reaching downward.  Justice is a card of adjustment, and that is why Crowley calls this one “Adjustment.”  It corresponds with the element of Air (hot/separates and wet/adapts, and quick, animated energy that usually brings problems or challenges that bring growth), Libra (“we are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation), Lamed (ox goad; training or teaching), and the Path between Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify) and Geburah (the place where forms and structures are challenged or affirmed).  To Crowley, this card presents two important concepts: balance and truth, and it tells us that the purpose of the law is to implement and manifest these two concepts.

My Legacy card is the Queen of Wands, flavored by the Queen of Swords.  I threw both of these cards yesterday, and since they are here again (and paired!), I guess they have an important message for me.  The Queen of Wands (cusp of Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, soul growth, spirituality, and Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive) is energetic, adaptable and enthusiastic; she is filled with persistent energy and calm authority at the same time, and because of this she draws others to her.  She is kind of a self-made woman, with her sense of humor intact.  My Queen of Wands is being flavored by her sister, the Queen of Swords.  The Queen of Swords (cusp of Virgo, “I serve,” practical, sensible, work and service oriented, and Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation, grace) can be considered a Minor Arcana representation of the Justice card (also in my card throw today), which is about responsibility and the relationship between “cause” and “effect.”  The main difference is that while Justice is about the law, the Queen of Swords is about the intent behind the law.  What is alos interesting is that the Queen of Swords is flavoring the Queen of Wands and not in the controlling position of this pair.  Despite the fact that Adjustment/Justice is also a part of my throw for today, it is the Queen with a sense of humor as well as authority that is in control.

My 6-digit date number is 10, the number that tells of the completion of a cycle (yay!), which reduces further to 1, the number of position and potential.

My horoscopes: “An emotional phone call could come from a close friend or love partner, Sagittarius. This person has a lot of worries, and is apt to lay them all on you if you let it happen. You won't want to drop everything that you'd planned to work on today. Tell your friend that you should get together for dinner or coffee and you'll talk about it, and then finish your tasks as quickly as possible.

And: “An emotional issue with a family member could have you wanting to run away and hide somewhere. Don't fight the urge - this may be just what you need to clear your mind with regards to the problem and heal your wounded psyche before you face this person again. You might also receive some rather disconcerting revelations about yourself and old traumas that you have long since forgotten. Don't fight these either. Simply release them.

Today’s 6-digit date is 4/1/14, an interesting progression of 4 – 1 – 1 – 4.  Cool energies; should be an interesting day!
