4/10/14

Ace of Pentacles reversed/Ten of Cups.  Aces present potential only, and the Ace of Pentacles (Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive, Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, dual, social) in an upright position tells of the presence of potential that is connected in some way to the physical world, but because my Ace is reversed, perhaps the physical world is not where I can have the most impact today. Perhaps my potential is elsewhere.  The Ten of Cups (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression, drive, in Pisces, “I believe,” feeling, duality, spirituality, suffering and growth) offers the manifestation of happiness, simple joys, and fulfillment. The number Ten is about the completion of a cycle or manifestation, and the suit of Cups is about emotions, feelings and the inner self, so this card offers the bounty that comes with the successful experiencing of all the lessons of the Cups cards.  No physical world responsibilities here, just simple joy and happiness.

My Thoth cards are the Two of Cups (“Love”) reversed and the Three of Disks (“Work”) reversed.  The Two of Cups (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, family and home oriented, tenacious, moody) tells of about love and connections, usually having to do with feelings, relationships and commonalities, and a recognition or acknowledgement that a bond is beginning to happen, or is beginning to be restored after forgiveness is offered and received.  My Two of Cups is reversed, and connections based on commonalities are not going to be a part of my day. The Three of Disks (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression, drive, in Capricorn, “I build,” ambition, cunning, competence) in an upright position tells of competence, planning and teamwork.  More connections, but with this card they are physical world connections; apparently they won’t work either.

My Legacy card is The Hanging Man reversed, flavored by Justice.  Hmmm . . . not such a quiet day after all, eh?  The Hanging Man corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and emotional, sensitive and imaginative energy that tends to move deep, and attempts to take the same path as in the past), Neptune (inspiration, spirituality, magick, enchantment, dreams, altered states), and the Hebrew letter Mem (water, stability and balance, the reflective quality of thought), and presents the kind of balance that comes to us through surrender, and through deliberately attempting to see things in a different way.  The Legacy Hanging Man also tells of initiation and destiny, as well as sacrifice and loss.  Because my card is reversed, the pause associated with this card won’t hold; action will overcome this pause.  My reversed Hanging Man is being flavored by Justice.  Justice is a card of adjustment, and it corresponds with the element of Air (hot/separates and wet/adapts, and quick, animated energy that usually brings problems or challenges that bring growth), Libra (“we are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation), Lamed (ox goad; training or teaching), and the Path between Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify) and Geburah (the place where forms and structures are challenged or affirmed).  Two cards that present a version of balance, one balance through surrender and the other balance through adjustment.  One reversed and one upright.  Today, surrender is not the answer, but neither is domination.  Cooperation is not a weakness, and that just might be the word of the day!

My 6-digit date number is 10, the number that tells of the completion of a cycle of some kind; it reduces further to 1, the number of position and possibility.

My horoscopes: “Daydreams full of adventure, perhaps involving travel, could take up a lot of your time today, Sagittarius. You're probably bored with your situation and longing to do something to break your routine. You might have no idea how you can escape from everything right now. Don't force it. Spend the afternoon in a place you don't usually visit. You'll come up with a workable idea in due time. Go for it!

And: “You can expect to run a lot of errands today, even though you would probably prefer to stay at home. You have obligations to friends and family to fulfill, and you can't bear to let them down. Try to get everything done as quickly as possible so that you will still have the afternoon free for yourself.
