3/6/14

Page of Wands/The Magician.  Woohoo! The Page of Wands (Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody; Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic noble egotistical; and Virgo, “I serve,” practical, analytical, work and service oriented) is fun to be around, unless you have a migraine. The Llewellyn Welsh Page of Wands brings an important message: a positive and exciting phase has arrived and it is time to enjoy this phase. Everything around me should be stimulating today, and this is a good thing.  The Magician corresponds with Air (hot/separates and wet/adapts, and quick and animated energy which usually presents problems or challenges), Mercury (reason, intelligence, orderliness, communication), Beth (house; builder) and the Path between Binah (female, receptive energy and the origin of form and structure) and Kether (the source, limitless possibility).  The Magician works hard to perfect his abilities, to make use of those abilities in unexpected ways, and to focus and carry through to the end of a task (which is pretty important to him).  This card is personally significant to me, and since he represents the manifestation of tangible knowledge (and the ability to control that manifestation); I am being told to think independently, and to manifest my Purpose with my own hard-earned skills.

My Thoth cards are The Magus and the Princess of Disks reversed.  Another Magician/Page pair! The Thoth Magus tells us to know our True Self in order to manifest our True Will.  The Magician tends to take on the energies of the cards around him, and the Princess of Disks even though she is reversed, just might ground him a bit. The Princess/Page of Disks (Aries, “I want,” assertive, action oriented, Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, sociable, dual) is down-to-earth and responsible, and a listener and a learner. The Princess of Pentacles loves to learn new things and have new experiences, but she also loves to also be a catalyst for change in the physical world, change for everyone.  Crowley sees this Princess as representing womanhood in its purest form, or maybe the Maiden aspect of the Goddess, fertile and pure at the same time.  She is reversed, however, and perhaps the unbalanced clinging to the rules and sticking to the plan are just what The Magus needs in order to be grounded.

My Legacy card is Death, flavored by The Moon.  Wow, three powerful pairs today. The Death card of the Major Arcana corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and sensitive, imaginative energy that strives to stay the same or take the same course), Scorpio, Nun (fish head; liberation), and the Path between Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify) and Netzach (the stimulating factors of emotion and inspiration), and tells of natural change that cannot be stopped, and that usually involves the potential to step upward on the evolutionary ladder. Many people fear this card, but Death can be seen as representing natural change through alchemic putrefaction.  The Death card offers the illusion of destruction, illusion because this very destruction creates new life, and illusion is connected to the card flavoring Death, The Moon. The Moon of the Tarot Major Arcana corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, emotional and sensitive energy that strives to stay the same), Pisces (“I believe,” feeling, suffering, soul growth, duality), Qof (the back of the head), and the Path between Malkuth (the physical world of action and physical, outer reality) and Netzach (the stimulating factors of emotion and inspiration), is about feelings and emotions and instincts and the subconscious.  This card tells of falsehood and illusion and the Dark Night of Soul, and about magick and mystery; they are difficult to pin down and define.  Nothing is as it seems, but visions and dreams could be quite transformative when affected by the combined energies of these two cards!

My 6-digit date number is 5, the number that imposes motion onto stability in order to prevent stagnation.

My horoscopes: “Paperwork regarding financial matters may need to be executed at some point today, Sagittarius. You're in the mood for some adventure, perhaps physical or romantic. You might be tempted to participate in challenging sports, such as river rafting or downhill skiing, or you might decide to attend a group meeting and see what opportunities for contacts - not to mention romantic partners! - come your way. Take care! Have fun, but move ahead with caution.”

And: “Deliveries that you may be expecting could be delayed or held up. Today you might learn something shocking about a neighbor or relative - and gossip might spread very rapidly through your community. This could have you reeling - even though it might be exaggerated. You might pay visits to a few people nearby, or spend a lot of time on the phone, trying to learn the truth. Don't take anything you hear today at face value.
