1/5/15

Two of Swords/Six of Wands reversed.  The Two of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation) in an upright position represents a time of not looking or of shutting out the world.  A bit of disconnect from the world can be helpful today because it allows me to achieve a pure inner focus.  In the end, the serenity created through this diconnect could allow the reconciliation of differences or cross-purposes. The Six of Wands (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic, noble, authoritative) in an upright position expresses the celebration we feel when we have passed some test or successfully met a challenge.  This card is about the sense of accomplishment and the recognition that happen when we stick to our own plan despite adversity, but it is reversed today.  Looks like I should not be focusing on victories or end results right now. Recognition is not the be-all and end-all of Purpose, and succeeding does not mean publicly announcing that success.

My Thoth cards are the Nine of Disks (“Gain”) reversed and the Queen of Disks. The Nine of Disks (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Virgo, “I serve,” practical, analytical, work and service oriented) tells of accomplishment through the imposition of discipline.  This card literally purrs with satisfaction, telling us that we should feel great satisfaction because of our accomplishments, which have occurred due to our own focus and discipline. There is an expectation of gain associated with this card when upright that might be more than physical-world or financial gain. Because the card is reversed, the gains I expect today may not play out as I wish or expect, or those gains may in the end be empty.  The Queen of Disks (cusp of Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering, and Capricorn, “I build,” ambition, caution, cunning, authoritative) is very good at sustaining the physical world, keeping things dry and cozy and safe and orderly.  Crowley sees this Queen as striving to manifest pleasurable surroundings without going overboard.  She has a greatness of soul, I guess, which means that she can be happy whether she is rich or poor, and she will gain pleasure from sharing whatever she has.

My Legacy card is the Six of Cups reversed, flavored by the Five of Wands.  Another reversed Six today! The Six of Cups (Sun, the inner core of a person or situation in Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, compulsive, deep, obsessive) is a card of innocence, emotional balance and harmony, of simple joy that begets even more simple joy by infecting all that is around us at this moment.  This card when it is upright is about friendship and play, teamwork, and drawing strength from shared experiences.  Looking at the past may not bring pleasure today, however, and I need to be careful that I am not distracted by the pleasures and pains of the past.  My reversed Six of Cups is being flavored by the Five of Wands. The Five of Wands, which corresponds with Saturn (discipline, responsibility, law and order) in Leo (“I am, passionate, dramatic, egotistical) indicates a struggle caused by annoying cross-purposes, or this discomfort could be caused by growing pains.  See?  Looking back and wishing the present or the future were the past is not good!

My 6-digit date number is 3, the number that tells of a new creation out of the potential and position of the Ace, and the balance, polarity, and energy of “distance between” of the 2.

My horoscopes : “Reel it in. As the Moon roves through Cancer, your resourceful eighth house, you're thinking more strategically about money matters, especially those that involve other parties. Think: credit cards, taxes, investments, real estate deals, business alliances and inheritances. Your fiscal fitness works best when you can think creatively about how to meet your needs and long-term security goals. When partnering up to maximize your bottom line, tune into hidden motivations. Once you understand where the other person is coming from, you can create a mutually beneficial relationship. Hello, win-win!

And: “Move right in for the touchdown today, and don't stop until you are successful. Don't let other people's insecurities become your insecurities. Have confidence in yourself and the way you conduct yourself around others. Just because someone else is feeling sad doesn't mean that you have to as well, just to make them feel better. The best thing you can do in this situation is to turn it around by exhibiting sheer happiness and a fun loving attitude.
