The Wheel of Fortune/Nine of Cups reversed. Wow, the Wheel has been showing up a lot lately. The Wheel of Fortune corresponds with Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive and energetic change), Jupiter (expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune), Kaph (grasping hand), and the Path between Netzach (the stimulating factors of emotion and inspiration) and Chesed (the place where forms and structure are stabilized and nurtured), and tells of coming change, both in an upright and reversed position.  This card is about effects that originate elsewhere, and it is about being able to see the flows of energies and it is about taking advantage of those flows.  No matter what, stuff is going to be happening, so I need to grab on and hold on. The Nine of Cups (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Pisces, “I believe,” feeling, duality, soul growth, spirituality) in an upright position is about powerful satisfaction on all levels (emotional, physical and spiritual) and a fulfilling sense of accomplishment.  The card is reversed, so it is telling me to focus less on my emotions or my senses.  Sounds like I need to be realistic and aware and alert in order to be able to latch onto the flows associated with the Wheel.

My Thoth card is the Seven of Disks reversed.  “Failure” reversed has been showing up a lot, too. The Thoth Seven of Disks (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, law and order, in Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn) in an upright position tells of a heavy pause that just might be hard to counteract, due to the Earthiness of both the number 7 and the suit of Disks.  Because the card is reversed, that pause just might not happen.  With the Wheel showing up, and this Seven of Disks being reversed, stuff might be happening today.

My Legacy card is the Four of Swords, flavored by Judgement reversed. The Four of Swords (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation) in an upright position tells of the need of some time of rest and recuperation, usually to be brought about by a time of truce or pause or quiet. There is a pause about this card, but it is not like the pause associated with the upright Seven of Disks.  This pause is more about mutual deterrence and I should remember that sooner or later, the truce may fail.  So I need to take this time to prepare.  Judgement corresponds with Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive and energetic change), Pluto (power, metamorphosis, cycles of dying and becoming), Shin (fang), and the Path between Malkuth (the physical world of action and physical, outer reality) and Hod (provides analysis and communication), and upright, it usually tells of a coming change, or maybe a coming resolution of a cycle.  Judgement is reversed, though, and I had better pay attention, or I may regret some slipup that happens because of neglect.  Wake up!

My Pearls of Wisdom Full Corn Moon card is Strength. The Strength card (Fire, hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive and energetic energy; Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic, egotistical; Teth, sieve or basket, digestion; and the Path between Geburah, the place where forms and structures are challenged or affirmed, and Chesed, the place where forms and structures are stabilized and nurtured) tells of emotional endurance and control.  Strength reminds me that if I have control over my own feelings, and if I can foster a sense of serenity through that control, I can overcome anything.

My 6-digit date number is 5, the number of motion that dispels stagnation.

My horoscopes: “Just because everyone else is walking on eggshells doesn't mean you need to, Sagittarius. Your upbeat spirit will be more welcome than usual due to the drama around you. Be careful of falling into the role that you know others want you to play. It's easy to take on the role that's in front of you, but this doesn't always help the situation. Read from your own script, not someone else's.”

And: “Communication is about more than just talking and listening -- it requires understanding. That is especially true today, when there will be a lot of contradictory information flying around. In order to truly 'get' the ideas that are being exchanged right now, you have to internalize them and give yourself the time you need to mull them all over. Try to see things from other people's perspectives, and show them as much respect as you would like to be shown.”

Technology: “You take a highly rational approach when it comes to challenges in your personal life. Others may hem and haw, but you're the only one weighing pros and cons down to the milligram. Still, you'll benefit from listening to emotional appeals.”

Today has been a day of connections in the physical world.  I attended a 40th anniversary party, with a whole gang of in-laws, which was a pleasure.  Then I drove to Cape May and attended my second Pearl Jam block party, where I connected with old friends and new neighbors.  And our family vacation starts this weekend; soon Cape May will be filled with family.

I am happy with where I am and who I am.  There has been some movement as far as the things I would like to do for a living, and we are hanging on financially, by our fingernails, but so far, we are hanging on.  I have good friends, interesting acquaintances, and wonderful family.  I have a spiritual home that fulfills me in so many ways.  I am truly blessed.

Tonight is the Full Corn Moon, and I am overcome with wonderful emotions.  And just for tonight, that is enough.

Blessed, blessed be!
