Seven of Cups reversed/The Chariot. The Seven of Cups (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, controlling, obsessive, mysterious) in an upright position lets us know that there are messages out there to pick up, and choices or opportunities to access. Because the card is reversed, temptation may not be a part of this day; I might have an easier time seeing clearly. The Chariot corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and sensitive, emotional and imaginative energy that likes to stay the same or follow the same course), Cancer (“I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody), Cheth (the fence), and the Path between Geburah (the place where forms and structure are challenged or affirmed) and Binah (female receptive energy and the origin of form and structure), and is related to control. Now, this is not the control of The Emperor (who tends to sweep all evidence of emotions under the rug), but rather The Chariot tells us that we must train our emotions so that we can use them to bring greater good into our lives. Sounds like The Chariot will intensify the reversed energies of that Seven of Cups!

My Thoth card is the Seven of Swords. “Futility” is Crowley’s keyword for the Seven of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, cause-oriented, the group, aloofness). Crowley sees this card as weak; it tells us that cunning will work better than forcing the issue, but often when we use cunning, ethics become blurred. I need to remember that clinging to what I want beyond reasonability may harm myself or others.

My Legacy card is the Page of Swords reversed, flavored by The World. The Page of Swords (Capricorn, “I build,” ambitious, competent, cautious, cunning, Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, society, cause-oriented, and Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, soul growth, spirituality) brings the message of the Ace of Swords (the potential for challenges which can be solved through the use of the intellect and which can offer opportunities for growth) to the day. He always asks “why?” and he can be a bit suspicious. Because it is reversed, I may not be dealing with the suspicion that tends to be a part of this card. The Universe/World (Earth, cold/binds and dry/shapes, stable, physical, material, slow to change; Saturn, discipline, responsibility, limitations and resistance; Thav, mark or sign; and the Path between Malkuth, the physical world of action and physical reality, and Yesod, the place where patterns and images emerge that may manifest into Malkuth) is flavoring this Page of Swords reversed; it tells me that I have reached the maximum integration between my physical self and my mental/astral/energy body self attainable within this cycle. LOL, while I may not want to look a gift horse in the mouth, sometimes there is no hidden agenda attached to a good, balanced feeling.

My 6-digit date number is 7. Okay, three of those numbers today, so I will go into a bit more detail than usual about this number. The number 7 is the fourth prime number, but it is not a part of the Fibonacci Sequence; it is found everywhere. Rome has 7 hills, as does Constantinople. There are 7 wonders of the ancient world, and 7 days in a week; there are 7 continents in our world and 7 colors in a rainbow. There are 7 notes in the traditional Western Major Scale, 7 main chakras, 7 celestial bodies visible to the naked eye, and the number 7 is found throughout the religions of the world. Even our modern products take advantage of the good vibes connected with the number 7; we have a store franchise named 7-Eleven and a drink named 7UP, during a baseball game, we stretch during the 7th inning; even James Bond is associated with the number 7. There are all kinds of mathematical magic tricks associated with the number 7, most of which I have never heard of. But if you add the opposite sides on a standard six-sided die, you will get 7, which means that if you throw two dice, the most common number to show up is 7. Talk about “lucky sevens”!

The interesting thing about the number 7 is that it is a “centered number.” Look at these 7 letters:

7 has a middle, with three letters on either side. The number 3 is about the creation of something new out of balance and polarity, and that center position has the potential for creativity balanced on either side. How cool is that!

In numerology and the Tarot, the number 7 tells of a pause and an assessment, but there is a choice associated with that pause and assessment. We can either decide that we like what we see and thus, not do anything more; or we can choose to continue focusing on growth. Both choices have good points and bad points. After all, if we choose to do nothing, we will most likely keep what we have, but who knows what greater opportunities we will miss. And if we decide to continue striving, we just might loose everything. The only wrong thing to do would be to **not** choose at all.

My horoscopes: “Follow your instincts, Sagittarius. Even if you have a tendency to listen more to reason, put it aside today. While your ears hear words, your intuition can hear what's between the words and unsaid, providing you with a bigger picture than whatever is presented. If everything sounds right but feels wrong, you'd be better off trusting your feelings. Act with careful consideration and caution.”

And: “You were born free as the wind but life presents its daily dose of tethers. You can either go with the flow or you can put up your dukes and fight the feeling. Follow your fate or follow your free will. The choice is yours.”

And: “Are you feeling a little under the weather? You may have been burning the candle at both ends. The obvious tip would be to slow down, but you may feel that's not possible at this time. Get as much rest as you can, and be sure to eat right. If you have urgent work that needs to be done, ask for help. This way it'll get done quickly even if your energy level isn't up to snuff.”

My Sun reading: “The best approach is to play the game when Mercury reorganizes Saturn's decisions and plans, Stay cool. It isn't worth the worry, because the situation changes whether decision makers like it or not. Laughter and lighthearted banter aren't a part of tonight's more subdued social scene.”

A bit more about the 28th Path. The symbolism of this Path has the potential to release quite a bit of creative power into our lives. This amazing power is often first felt through the physical body in some ways. I know exactly what is being described here; when I am connected to my Lady Danu or when I am sitting by Her Well, I am filled with the most amazing energy. This energy is manifested through my body, through all of my senses, and it almost feels like sexual arousal, only the pressure of this energy is felt throughout my physical body rather than just within my sexual organs. This energy ultimately is a catalyst for the manifestation of our hopes and dreams, and once it is activated, it stimulates the inspiration that comes in those incredible aha! moments.

Working with this Path will tend to bring to us situations that encourage us to face the difficulties and challenges associated with attaining dreams, so that we can pick and choose correctly which goals are right for us. Doubts are awakened, most certainly, but so are hopes and dreams and visions.

The energies of this Path not only connect us to our own hopes and fears, but also to those of humanity and the Universe.
