Queen of Pentacles reversed/Justice
reversed. The Queen of Pentacles (cusp of
Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering, and Capricorn, “I
build,” ambition, caution, cunning, authoritative) is very good at sustaining
the physical world, keeping things dry and cozy and safe and orderly. She is competent and loyal, and has
great people skills, and since my Queen is reversed, I will need to have a care
regarding how I interact with others. Justice
is a card of adjustment, and it corresponds with the element of Air (hot/separates
and wet/adapts, and quick, animated energy that usually brings problems or
challenges that bring growth), Libra (“we are,” partnerships, balance,
cooperation), Lamed (ox goad; training or teaching), and the Path between
Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus
to illuminate and clarify) and Geburah (the place where forms and structures
are challenged or affirmed). The
upright Justice card represents fairness and equality, and achieves those
things through the application of truth.
My Justice card is also reversed, and oh boy, there is a huge
possibility that booboos could happen.
I will need to remember that everyone has the right to feel secure and
comfy, including me, and I don’t have a right to demand my comfort at the
expense of another. Paybacks in
that regard would not be fun.
My Thoth card is the Knight of Swords
reversed. The Knight (equal in rank to the King in other Tarot
decks) of Swords (cusp of Capricorn, “I build,” ambitious, cautious, cunning, authoritative,
and Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, cause-oriented, aloof) represents
a good judge of people and situations.
This card is ethical, inspiring, trustworthy, and not afraid to take
action, and it is reversed. Looks
like today is a good day to just hang back and observe. I guess I’ve gotta hope that no one I
care for is in trouble today, because I won’t be able to trust my instincts
regarding a response.
My Legacy card is Temperance, flavored
by the Four of Wands reversed. Temperance corresponds with Sagittarius
(“I seek,” philosophic, adventurous, blundering) Fire (hot/separates and
dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive, energetic change), Samekh (the tent
post), and the Path between Yesod (the place where patterns and images emerge
that may manifest into the physical world of action and outer reality) and
Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus
to illuminate and clarify), and it is one of the Major Arcana cards that
presents one version of the concept of balance. Temperance brings us balance through learning how to deal
with extremes. The theory is that
if you have learned to survive extreme cold, and you have learned to survive
extreme heat, you can make use of those skills in a balanced way, in less
extreme situations. The Four of
Wands (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Aries, “I want,” action
oriented, assertive, enthusiastic) is about building enough to become
established, or celebrating the successful efforts of the Three of Wands. My Four of Wands is reversed today, and
obviously it is validating my reversed cards above. But it is specifically flavoring my Temperance card, and I
think it is telling me not to assume that all is well just because nothing has
blown up yet. **gulp**
My 6-digit date number is 5, the number
that tells of movement which washes away the stagnation of the number 4.
My horoscopes: “Water your plants today and make sure they're getting enough
light, Sagittarius. If you don't have any plants, take this opportunity to go
to the nursery and pick up a couple for your home or office. Nourish the
organic things in your life to help remind you of your own roots, which are
extremely important for you right now. Sink deep into the Earth in order to
understand the environment around you.”
And: “Today
you might want to spend some time gardening. In fact, you might have a number
of tasks to perform around the house and yard, but chances are you'll also have
friends waiting to get together with you. Therefore you're apt to get your
chores done quickly - and possibly create new and innovative ways of doing it!
Interesting conversations feed your curiosity when you spend time with your friends.
Enjoy your day.”
My Shadowscapes Insight is regarding the
Three of Wands. I love the
description of the image on the Shadowscapes Three of Wands. The figure stands at the edge of the
bridge, jutting out into the air, looking out over the valley and the hills
beyond. How do we move
forward? By trusting enough to
take the next step! As we step
forward, our eyes on our destination, the bridge magickally extends to support
that next step. Trust, and
visualization of the future!
Today, we talk about the Zodiac sign of Aries.
Aries is the first Astrological sign in the Zodiac, because the time of Aries spans
from 0 to 27.25 degrees of celestial longitude, which the Sun transits during the time of Spring (usually March 21 to April 20, or
thereabouts). Those born under the
sign of Aries may be called Arians or Ariens.
Aries is a Cardinal Fire sign. Cardinal
signs have the first awareness of the transformations happening between
seasons, they are usually in a position to access energy early, before it
begins to ebb or dissipate. People
born under Cardinal signs often set the tone according to their season; this
means that Aries people can be like a fresh Spring breeze that activates new
ideas. Each Cardinal sign is also affected by its corresponding element, and
manifests itself onto the world in part through the effects of that element. The element of Fire is known to be spontaneous, impulsive and the creator
of energetic change. Fire is about
passions and enthusiasm, and about action, full force action.
The symbol of Aries is the Ram, and like
the namesake, an Arian won’t present his ideas in a subtle way. People born under this sign can be
blunt and to the point, and they can accomplish amazing things through sheer
force of will. Aries is ruled by
Mars. Mars is the Roman god of war and
bloodshed, both the planet and our blood are a deep, rich blood red because
they are rich in iron. Mars is associated with confidence and self assertion,
aggression, sexuality, energy, strength, individuality, yang passion,
independence, ambition and impulsiveness.
Mars governs sports, competitions of all kinds (including the arts of
soldiering and warfare!) and physical activities in general. Mars is the active
force of the individual, exhibiting outward-thrusting energies, expressing the
Self, and fighting for the rights of the individual.
Can you tell that Arians are natural
leaders? They are good at getting
things started, and they are not afraid of “boldly going where no man has gone
before.” They aren’t necessarily
good at follow-through, but they sure will get things started!
My son’s sun sign is Aries, so I know
what these people are like!
