4/9/14

Strength/Temperance.  Ooooh, interesting!  The Strength card (Fire, hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive and energetic energy; Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic, egotistical; Teth, sieve or basket, digestion; and the Path between Geburah, the place where forms and structures are challenged or affirmed, and Chesed, the place where forms and structures are stabilized and nurtured) is about having the strength and the patience to endure and focus.  This card tells of having the strength to control an open hand; that requires strength all right, but it also requires the ability to be gentle.  Temperance corresponds with Sagittarius (“I seek,” philosophic, adventurous, blundering) Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive, energetic change), Samekh (the tent post), and the Path between Yesod (the place where patterns and images emerge that may manifest into the physical world of action and outer reality) and Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify), and this card presents one version of the concept of balance: balance achieved through knowledge and experience of extremes. My Temperance card is telling me that I have the ability to adapt to any situation.  These are both Major Arcana cards, so these skills have far-reaching consequences.  Cool!

My Thoth cards are the Six of Swords (“Science”) and The Wheel reversed.  Well now, there is a clear message.  The Six of Swords (Mercury, reason, intelligence, education, communication, in Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, cause oriented) is about balance, healing, moving towards a better place, and even about learning the science behind things that work (because understanding why they work makes them more effective); hence Crowley’s keyword for this one. I love this card, but it does not appear often for me.  The Wheel of Fortune (Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive and energetic change), Jupiter (expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune), Kaph (grasping hand), and the Path between Netzach (the stimulating factors of emotion and inspiration) and Chesed (the place where forms and structure are stabilized and nurtured)) tells of sudden movement, but not movement caused by us or controlled by us.  Upright, The Wheel reminds us that nothing is permanent and everything is always in motion, motion that we can’t control.  However, since my Wheel is reversed, I am being told that I can control things.  Perhaps by understanding the science behind them, eh?

My Legacy card is the Page of Wands, flavored by Death reversed.  All good cards today.  The Page of Wands (Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody; Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic noble egotistical; and Virgo, “I serve,” practical, analytical, work and service oriented) is fun to be around, unless you have a migraine. This Page lets me know there will be lots of stimulation today, and I should not turn away from opportunities to socialize or interact.  My Page is being flavored by Death reversed.  The Death card of the Major Arcana corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and sensitive, imaginative energy that strives to stay the same or take the same course), Scorpio, Nun (fish head; liberation), and the Path between Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify) and Netzach (the stimulating factors of emotion and inspiration), and tells of natural change that cannot be stopped, and that usually involves the potential to step upward on the evolutionary ladder. Many people fear this card, but Death can be seen as representing natural change through alchemic putrefaction.  The Death card offers the illusion of destruction, illusion because this very destruction creates new life.   I’m thinking that, in keeping with the messages of the other cards in my spread today, Death is reversed because the time of destruction is over, and new life is beginning.

My 6-digit date number is 9, the number of completeness of effect or manifestation.

My horoscopes: “Today you might attend a party or group activity that puts you in touch with some interesting people from faraway places, Sagittarius. You could find their conversation intellectually stimulating. You're apt to learn a lot from them. Books could be involved in some way. You'll want to stay in touch with them, so be sure to get names, phone numbers or email addresses. This could open up some new doors for you.”

And: “Today, you could direct an overwhelming amount of love and passion toward a current or potential romantic partner. Your friend might feel a little taken aback, but is likely to be flattered, and therefore to respond in a positive manner. This might not have the potential to become a committed relationship, so don't expect anything from it. Just get to know each other, see where the bond takes you, and go with the flow.”

I think Spring is finally here.  I saw multiple osprey this past weekend, both at the beach and on the drive home through Cape May County and north.  And the biggest indication: I heard my first laughing gull early Monday morning.  Welcome, Spring!

4/7/14

King of Cups reversed/Three of Cups reversed. The King of Cups (cusp of Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation, and Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, controlling mysterious, obsessive) is the expert on emotions and the subconscious, mainly because of his life experiences.  When upright, he is able to be calm, caring and diplomatic, and still get things done by getting others working together in a productive way. The Three of Cups (Mercury, reason, intelligence, orderliness, communication, in Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody) in an upright position is about connections, emotional abundance, and about blessings.  There is a commonality to these two cards: they are both about effectively using emotions and feelings and the subconscious to connect with others in a beneficial way.  The message is clear I think, and at least for today, I need to focus my emotions and feelings inward, not out towards others.

My Thoth cards are the Seven of Swords (“Futility”) and The High Priestess. The Seven of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, cause-oriented, the group, aloofness) tells of the effort to maintain things as we want them, often through the use of deception and without considering the wants or needs of others.  To me, my Seven of Swords is presenting a warning.  It seems that my mind might be focusing so much on how I want things to be that I am losing the ability to think out of the box.  The High Priestess (Water; the Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination; Gimel, the camel who safely crosses Da’ath, the Abyss, and thus, has the secret of life; and the Path between Tiphareth, the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify, and Kether, the source, limitless possibility), is one-half of the Major Arcana representation of the Sacred Feminine, with The Empress being the other half. The High Priestess is the source of the power of The Magician, the feminine version of The Hierophant, and the Keeper of the Mysteries.  She is the Gatekeeper who determines whether I am ready to experience the Mysteries, and if I listen to my Seven of Swords, I may not even see that The High Priestess has arrived in my card spread today, much less gain access to her knowledge and wisdom.

My Legacy card is the Knight of Swords, flavored by the Nine of Swords reversed.  Hmmmm . . . good advice.  The Knight of Swords (the cusp of Taurus, “I have,” sensual, stubborn, cautious, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, dual, intelligent) is outspoken, assured, alert, and logical, as well as rude, domineering, critical and sarcastic.  His daring and courage are impressive, but he can also be disruptive, too.  While all of the Knights can be considered as mercinaries, the Knight of Swords truly personifies this career.  My Knight is encouraging me to use my mind, my intellect, and my powers of analysis and deduction to solve the challenges of the day.  He is being flavored by the reversed Nine of Swords, and that is a clear validation. The Nine of Swords (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression, in Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, social, dual) in an upright position represents brooding and worrying, usually self-caused, and usually unproductive.  Often the worrying attached to this card is connected to insecurity or suspicion, or it is connected to things that are over and done with, and thus unchangable.  Since the Knight of Swords tends to be a bit, shall we say, intense about the manifestation of his suit, he can sometimes get caught in an “analysis paralysis,” but sice my Nine of Swords is reversed, that is unlikely to happen, so I can give my Knight free reign.  Well, almost free reign.

My 6-digit date number is 7, the number that tells of the pause that appears when growth slows and degeneration approaches, often requiring a choice of some kind.

My horoscopes: “The mood you're in today is the stuff of which memorable encounters are made. You'll be wary at first, perhaps even somewhat hostile, to anyone who dares intrude on your freedom. Then suddenly you'll realize that this person is someone special, intriguing, and definitely out of the ordinary. Finally, Sagittarius, you'll realize that the qualities he or she offers just happen to be those you need the most right now.”

And: “Try not to let yourself get sucked into participating in idle gossip. There will be rumors flying today, and you would be best advised to take cover. While it is true that there is some truth to the gossip, the embellishments to the story have blown everything out of proportion. Feelings are likely to get hurt. If you do not want yours to be among them, steer clear of the whispers.”

4/6/14

Transparent Oracle Sunday!

48, Venus (Above). The direction of Above takes us up and out of the four traditional elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth, and reminds us that we are but a small part of the Cosmos.  Above also reminds us that while the Machinery of the Universe is huge, it does have an effect on each of us, and each of us is an important part of the workings of that Machine.  The planet Venus corresponds with the element of Earth, and it represents all love and relationships and connections.  This also encompasses mothering, nurturing, healing, the pleasing of the senses, and an appreciation for beauty.

22, Weather: Rain (West). West is the direction of Water, and thus, of feelings and emotions, relationships of all kinds, cleansing and healing, the wisdom associated with natural endings, and the bubbling up of pure joy.  Water is about emotions, feelings, the Inner Voice, dreams, intuition, and Water is connected to both birth and death.  Rain is cleansing and nourishing, and this kind of weather can often bring dissatisfaction.  However, I also see Rain and it’s quiet, dark and cozy sensations as providing a time for rest and renewal.  Many are melancholy when it rains, but we need the rain to grow and live.

8, Guide: Eagle (East). East is the direction of the rising sun, and thus of new beginnings and fresh ideas, as well as knowledge, intellectual ideas and thoughts.  Eagle is considered the King of Birds, and often is seen as a Divine Messenger because he can fly to such amazing heights.  He tells of being able to see into the distance, and of achievements (and associated honors) gotten through courage and focus.  When Eagle is around, courage and perspective and vision will bring great results.

I then stacked my cards and created my mandala.  This one is very tight to the center, and at first glace all you see are the heads of Eagle, with Venus seeming to rise from behind Eagle.  Rain is not easy to see, at least in this mandala, because Eagle is sooooo visible.  Personal achievements are important here, but also important is the love that allows us to encourage others to achieve greatness as well.  Emotions and feelings may have an effect on this endeavor, and perhaps they won’t all be bright and shiny.  But they will bring benefits!

I’ve done lots of walking this weekend, as it is still too cold to do much gardening.  Yesterday I walked on the beach, a gloriously sunny walk, tempered by a light breeze.  Today, I walked inland, through the streets of the town.  I finished my weekend with a walk just before sunset, so I could tap into the sun and the quarter moon, high in the sky, at the crossroad between earth and water.  I performed a small ritual of honor to the elements, and to the Sun Father and the Moon Mother.

Tonight, I’ve got candles lit, and I’m going to relax after I do a bit of Yin Yoga.  Nice weekend, eh?

4/4/14

King of Cups reversed/Four of Wands. But my King is reversed, and emotions and feelings might not be useful to me today, particularly the emotions and feelings of others.  The Four of Wands (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, enthusiastic) is about building enough to become established, about the results of harmony and effort and creativity combined. This card has good vibes; we have Fire and we have a stable foundation, a great platform for creativity.  No useful Watery energy but look out for that Fire!  Something good might be approaching.

My Thoth cards are the Two of Wands (“Dominion”) and the Two of Swords (“Peace”) reversed.  The Two of Wands (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression, drive, in Aries, “I want,” action oriented, pioneering, assertive, enthusiastic) tells of power, influence and authority, and the implementation of the Will.  This card presents an immature version of the Four of Wands above, and again I’m being reminded in the power to be had from owning an event or idea.  The Two of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation) in an upright position represents a time of not looking or of shutting out the world.  Because my Two is reversed, it is validating the Two of Wands.  Lots of interactions; after all, Fire works because it has fuel, and fuel is available.

My Legacy card is the Three of Swords reversed (whew!), flavored by The Lovers.  The Three of Swords (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, limitations and resistance, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation), my least favorite card in the entire deck, usually indicates the possibility that logic, rationalizing and the intellect could end up causing harm if they are not used with balance and compassion.  Since my Three of Swords is reversed, any situations that might present the possibility of harm will end up not nearly as bad as expected. My reversed Three of Swords is being flavored by The Lovers.  The Lovers (Air, hot/separates and wet/adapts, quick and animated, intellectual, problems or challenges; Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, sociable, dual; Zayin, double-edged sword; and the Path between Tiphareth, the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify, and Binah, female receptive energy and the origin of form and structure) tells of duality, union, and personal choices.  This card is about love, but it is also about our personal values and how they affect our choices, and the promises we make to others.  The Lovers present the two halves that when united are greater than the sum of their parts, and because it is flavoring my reversed Three of Swords, challenges will offer opportunities for connections and support.  Interestingly, The Lovers can indicate a moment of doubt; once again, the ending will be happy and perhaps the pause presented by doubt will allow beneficial choices.

My 6-digit date number is 4, the number of depth and stability.

My horoscopes: “You might be hard and cold when it comes to the facts, Sagittarius, and you could come across as tough and rather harsh. In reality, this often just masks your sensitive interior. Perhaps you're insecure about your feelings and how you express yourself. People might never know this because you're so good at showing only the strong-willed, electric side of your personality. Be careful of being too stingy about sharing yourself with others”

And: “Today you may sit down at the computer for just a minute to research something on the Internet and wind up spending most of the afternoon entranced by what you're reading. You could very well stumble upon some information on the occult and mysticism. You've always been fascinated, and now that you've begun learning you don't want to stop. Perhaps you could enroll in a workshop to learn and mingle with others with a similar interest.”

4/3/14

Nine of Swords reversed/Seven of Swords reversed. Since it is reversed, I need to be very aware that if I get too caught up with intent and consequences, my ability to connect to reality might be affected.  I need to be connected to reality in order to deal with the reversed energies and their possibility of denial of reality.  The Seven of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, cause-oriented, the group, aloofness) in an upright position tells of the effort to maintain things as we want them, often through the use of deception and without considering the wants or needs of others.  I kind of get the feeling that with these two cards, I could be seeing things in a non-realistic way, either by worrying over something that is absolutely not worthy of worry, or by basing my actions on incorrect views or beliefs.

My Thoth cards are the Nine of Swords (“Cruelty”) and The Star reversed.  Bookends! Uncle Al says this about the Nine of Swords: “Consciousness has fallen into a realm unenlightened by reason.  This is the world of the unconscious primitive instincts, of the psychopath, of the fanatic.”  Not a comfortable card at all, and we can certainly see why The Star is reversed.  The Star (Air, hot/separates and wet/adapts; Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, cause-oriented, the group, aloofness; Qof, back of head; the Path between Malkuth, the physical world of action and outer, physical reality, and Netzach, the stimulating factors of emotion and inspiration) in an upright position is the “good will to all” card, and while it can hint at some unexpected darkness, it also reminds us that things will turn out okay in the end.  Crowley sees this card as filled with far-reaching hope, and I’m thinking that even reversed, I’m glad it is here.  It just might dilute the despair of my Nine of Swords.

My Legacy card is The Wheel, flavored by the Nine of Cups. The Wheel reminds us that nothing is permanent and everything is always in motion, motion that we can’t control.  We can, however, react, and that is what The Wheel offers, an opportunity to react with intention.  My Wheel is being flavored by the Nine of Cups. The Nine of Cups (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, suffering, soul growth) is about emotional satisfaction and the ability to find pleasure in feelings and emotions, and in our expectations for the day.  This card is about fulfillmet and good times, and perhaps getting what we wished for, and since it is flavoring my Wheel, I am being reminded to take joy not from receiving what I wish for, but rather to take joy from what I already have available to me.

More about my Bookends card, the Nine of Swords.  This one is easy to break down, because the number 9 represents the completeness of manifestation or effect, and the suit of Swords is about the mind, and the workings of the intellect, so if you put them together, you get a mind that is so focused on the process of analysis that it cannot look away from that process.   Crowley calls this card the “agony of the mind,” and it certainly can be debilitating if allowed to rule our day.  The Tarot of the Sephiroth Nine of Wands tells us that thoughts are “things” and thus can have effects on our lives.  In other words, the mind can impact matter.  This card shows nine Swords impaled in Water, reminding us that our thoughts can affect how we feel, and then can manifest themselves into our visualizations and our dreams, maybe not always in a pleasant way.  In the end, we alone give power to our thoughts.  We can also dissect them, cutting them away from us with those handy Swords, if we choose.

My 6-digit date number is 3, the number that tells of a new creation out of the position and potential of the Ace, and the balance, polarity, and energy of “distance between” of the 2.

My horoscopes: “It's generally quite clear that you aren't afraid to tell people what you think, Sagittarius. Maybe it's time to be more expressive about how you feel. It could be that your mental process is a bit off today, jolted by an unexpected situation or person. Make sure you incorporate some of your instincts and emotions into your reaction to the situation. Don't rely on your brain alone to have all the answers.”

And: “Financial prosperity is just around the corner, especially with your recently acquired money-management skills. It is likely that you will receive a windfall in the near future. Though it may not seem like a windfall to you, as you have been expecting this money for a long time now. Use your new abilities to invest it soundly and wisely. Over the long-term, you are bound to be quite pleased with the results you achieve.”

4/1/14

The Chariot reversed/Seven of Pentacles.  The Chariot, which corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and sensitive, emotional and imaginative energy that likes to stay the same or follow the same course), Cancer (“I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody), Cheth (the fence), and the Path between Geburah (the place where forms and structure are challenged or affirmed) and Binah (female receptive energy and the origin of form and structure), tells in an upright postion of having the control necessary to focus on goals, and to avoid distractions.  The Chariot is a Water card, not an Air card, so perhaps our problem here is that we are trying to clear the mind rather than the feelings.  . The Seven of Pentacles (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, law and order, in Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn) tells of pauses and choices and assessments. This card has a heaviness to it, as the number 7 tells of a pause and the suit of Pentacles is mainly secure and still.  I’m wondering if this pause is the problem or the cure here; I think looking before I leap might be good advice, but the looking process can’t be too long, or inertia will overcome.  I get the feeling that the energies of the Seven of Pentacles just might be preventing my Chariot from surging forward; I can’t fear those energies that build and then rush forward, like a wave in the ocean.  Those Watery energies just might help me to make the choice that the Seven of Pentacles requires.

My Thoth cards are the Ace of Disks and Adjustment/Justice.  Aces present potential only, and the Ace of Disks (Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive, Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, dual, social) tells of the presence of potential that is connected in some way to the physical world, and perhaps the physical world is where I can have the most impact today.  Crowley calls this card the root of the element of Earth, and thus it tells of all possibilities within that element, from the very best to the very worst.  It seems that the element of Earth is important to my well-being today, and perhaps it is the awareness of that root that will help me.  After all, the mighty oak cannot reach for the clouds without that strong taproot reaching downward.  Justice is a card of adjustment, and that is why Crowley calls this one “Adjustment.”  It corresponds with the element of Air (hot/separates and wet/adapts, and quick, animated energy that usually brings problems or challenges that bring growth), Libra (“we are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation), Lamed (ox goad; training or teaching), and the Path between Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify) and Geburah (the place where forms and structures are challenged or affirmed).  To Crowley, this card presents two important concepts: balance and truth, and it tells us that the purpose of the law is to implement and manifest these two concepts.

My Legacy card is the Queen of Wands, flavored by the Queen of Swords.  I threw both of these cards yesterday, and since they are here again (and paired!), I guess they have an important message for me.  The Queen of Wands (cusp of Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, soul growth, spirituality, and Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive) is energetic, adaptable and enthusiastic; she is filled with persistent energy and calm authority at the same time, and because of this she draws others to her.  She is kind of a self-made woman, with her sense of humor intact.  My Queen of Wands is being flavored by her sister, the Queen of Swords.  The Queen of Swords (cusp of Virgo, “I serve,” practical, sensible, work and service oriented, and Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation, grace) can be considered a Minor Arcana representation of the Justice card (also in my card throw today), which is about responsibility and the relationship between “cause” and “effect.”  The main difference is that while Justice is about the law, the Queen of Swords is about the intent behind the law.  What is alos interesting is that the Queen of Swords is flavoring the Queen of Wands and not in the controlling position of this pair.  Despite the fact that Adjustment/Justice is also a part of my throw for today, it is the Queen with a sense of humor as well as authority that is in control.

My 6-digit date number is 10, the number that tells of the completion of a cycle (yay!), which reduces further to 1, the number of position and potential.

My horoscopes: “An emotional phone call could come from a close friend or love partner, Sagittarius. This person has a lot of worries, and is apt to lay them all on you if you let it happen. You won't want to drop everything that you'd planned to work on today. Tell your friend that you should get together for dinner or coffee and you'll talk about it, and then finish your tasks as quickly as possible.”

And: “An emotional issue with a family member could have you wanting to run away and hide somewhere. Don't fight the urge - this may be just what you need to clear your mind with regards to the problem and heal your wounded psyche before you face this person again. You might also receive some rather disconcerting revelations about yourself and old traumas that you have long since forgotten. Don't fight these either. Simply release them.”

Today’s 6-digit date is 4/1/14, an interesting progression of 4 – 1 – 1 – 4.  Cool energies; should be an interesting day!

3/31/14

Queen of Wands/Ten of Pentacles reversed.  The Queen of Wands (cusp of Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, soul growth, spirituality, and Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive) in an upright position is energetic, adaptable and enthusiastic; she is filled with persistent energy and calm authority at the same time, and because of this she draws others to her.  She is kind of a self-made woman, with her sense of humor intact.  The Ten of Pentacles (Mercury, reason, intelligence, education, communication, in Virgo, “I serve,” practical, analytical, work and service oriented) in an upright position represents physical world wealth and bounty, and the attempt to maintain the status quo.  Because my Ten of Pentacles is reversed, I am being told that there is still work to do in order to secure the things I need in the physical world, even though the end result might be in sight.  Looks like the energy and sense of humor of my Queen might be necessary here.

My Thoth cards are the Queen of Swords and the Nine of Swords (“Cruelty”).  Eeep!  The Queen of Swords (cusp of Virgo, “I serve,” practical, sensible, work and service oriented, and Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation, grace) can be considered a Minor Arcana representation of the Justice card, which is about responsibility and the relationship between “cause” and “effect.”  The main difference is that while Justice is about the law, the Queen of Swords is about the intent behind the law.  I am being reminded that everything I do has consequences, and I need to be certain that I focus on those consequences, and that means I need to think and focus before I act.  The Nine of Swords (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression, in Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, social, dual) represents brooding and worrying, usually self-caused, and usually unproductive.  Often the worrying attached to this card is connected to insecurity or suspicion, or it is connected to things that are over and done with, and thus unchangable.  Crowley calls this card the “agony of the mind,” and it certainly can be debilitating if allowed to rule my day.  Since these cards are of the same suit, I might need to remember that if I get too caught up with intent and consequences, my ability to connect to reality might be affected.

My Legacy card is the Four of Swords reversed, flavored by The Devil.  The Four of Swords (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation) in an upright position can represent a pause or truce or mutual deterrent, or a time of silence and isolation used to prepare for challenges to come.  The card is reversed, and it suggests that if I spend too much more time pausing, inertia may prevent me from getting moving once again.  Time to get moving! My reversed Four of Swords is being flavored by an interesting Major Arcana card, The Devil.  The Devil (Earth (cold/binds and dry/shapes, and stable, material, practical energies that are slow to change), Capricorn (“I build,” ambitious, competent, cautious, cunning), Ayin (the eye, senses), and the Path between Hod (which provides analysis and communication) and Tipareth (the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify) tells of being caught up in the physical world and the effects of the physical senses, to the point of being bound or addicted to those things.  This card hints at the presence of blind ambition or overwhelming obsession, or maybe impulses that cannot be controlled.  Because it is flavoring my reversed Four of Swords, my thoughts regarding the Four are validated.  There is a huge possibility that my day may be mired in stagnation because I am unable to get moving!

My 6-digit date number is 3, the number that tells of a new creation out of the potential and position of the Ace, and the balance, polarity and energy of “distance between” of the 2.

My horoscopes: “If you're artistic by nature, Sagittarius, expect a rush of inspiration to hit today, along with an irresistible compulsion to start a new project and work until you can see at least some results. If you've never been artistic before, you may suddenly feel like giving it a try, perhaps using computer technology. No matter what, you're likely to derive a lot of pleasure from it, so go to it. Have fun!”

And: “Finance may cause an upset between you and a friend today. Perhaps this person owes you money and can't pay it back, or vice versa. If this is the case, try to work out some kind of arrangement that suits you both. There's always a way to create a win-win situation - if you don't both get so angry that your objectivity is totally wiped out! Stay calm and focused, and all should be well. Hang in there!”
