Six of
Cups reversed/Page of Swords reversed.
The Six
of Cups (Sun, the inner core of a person or situation in Scorpio, “I desire,”
intense, compulsive, deep, obsessive) is a card of innocence, emotional balance
and harmony, of simple joy that begets even more simple joy by infecting all
that is around us at this moment.
This card in an upright position is about friendship and play, teamwork,
and drawing strength from shared experiences. Because my Six is reversed, I might need to remember that
not everyone is as innocent as they seem.
Emotions might be stirred up a bit today, not in a good way, but no
worries. The Page
of Swords (Capricorn, “I build,” ambitious, competent, cautious, cunning,
Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, society, cause-oriented, and
Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, soul growth, spirituality) in an
upright position encourages us to use our mind and intellect to analyze our situations
as well as our emotions and feelings.
Since the Page is reversed, asking “why?” will most likely not provide a
useful answer.
My
Thoth cards are the Four of Swords (“Truce”) reversed and the Ace of Disks
reversed. The Four of Swords (Jupiter, expansiveness and
growth, justice, fortune, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance,
cooperation) can represent a pause or truce or mutual deterrent, or a time of
silence and isolation used to prepare for challenges to come. The pause represented by this card in
an upright position does not happen due to weakness, but rather through
conscious choice. Since the card
is reversed, perhaps there is some weakness in play. This one kind of validates my reversed Page of Swords
above. Aces present potential only, and the Ace
of Disks (Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive, Taurus, “I
have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative,
dual, social) tells of the presence of potential that is connected in some way
to the physical world, and perhaps the physical world is where I can have the
most impact today. Crowley calls
this card the root of the element of Earth, and thus it tells of all
possibilities within that element, from the very best to the very worst. However, because my Ace is reversed, it
looks like I won’t have access to potential in the physical world today
either.
My
Legacy card is the Four of Cups, flavored by the Two of Swords reversed. The Four of Cups (the Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion,
imagination, in Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, nurturing, tenacious, moody)
reminds us that too much pleasure, or maybe too much nurturing or
overprotectiveness, deadens the senses. This is a card that describes what can
happen when nothing goes wrong in our lives, and I need to remember that even
having mixed emotions might not be beneficial today, with all those reversed
cards. Speaking of reversed cards,
my upright Four of Cups is being flavored by another one, the reversed Two of
Swords. The Two of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion,
imagination, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation) in an
upright position represents a time of not looking or of shutting out the world. Yep, I can see why this card is
reversed, especially when flavoring my Four of Cups. If the Two was upright, it would be supporting the
“disconnect,” but since it is reversed, I am being told to fight the lethargy
and bring in some energy. Okay.
My
6-digit date number is 8, the number that tells of the conscious and deliberate
response to the pause and approach of degeneration that is the number 7, in
order to maintain for a bit longer the balance of the number 6.
My
horoscope: “Go bold or go home! You wake up with a self-starter vibe,
Sagittarius, as the Moon finishes touring your independent first house of
personal projects. You want to get out there and conquer, and no idea but the
biggest will do! Your practical nature rears its little head by afternoon,
however, as la luna changes course into your second house of daily routines.
Now's the time to figure out your plan of action to make those dreams a reality--and
what exactly the expenses will be!”
And: “You
may be experiencing a transformation in your thinking, which is bound to affect
pretty much every aspect of your life. By always questioning and processing,
you are working through difficult issues that require constant reshuffling of
viewpoints. Feel free to open yourself up to new ways of thinking while
dismissing the old ways that no longer serve you. Now is a terrific time to
consider a fresh wave of thought. You will find that you become exposed to a
whole new way of truth.”
