The Sun/King of
Cups reversed. The Sun
corresponds with Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, spontaneous, impulsive and
energetic change), our Sun (the inner core of a person or situation), Resh (the
face; reason), and the Path between Yesod (the place where patterns and images
emerge that may manifest in the physical world) and Hod (provides analysis and
communication), and it tells of a time of enlightenment and peace that comes
after the completion of some ordeal. This card is about enlightenment, and
perhaps for a moment the light might hurt my eyes, but all I need to do is get
used to the brilliance. The King of Cups (cusp of Libra, “We are,”
partnerships, balance, cooperation, and Scorpio, “I desire,” intense,
controlling mysterious, obsessive) in an upright position is the expert on
emotions and the subconscious, mainly because of his life experiences. These will not be effective pursuits
for me today; my results may lack the maturity of the King. Or perhaps, I should focus my emotions
outward rather than looking within myself today; after all, it is a Sunny day!
My Thoth card
is the Nine of Cups reversed. Another reversed Cups card. The Nine of Cups (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, suffering,
soul growth) is about emotional satisfaction and the ability to find pleasure
in feelings and emotions, and in our expectations for the day; hence, Crowley’s
keyword of “Happiness.” My Nine of Cups is reversed today, and
this means that things may not proceed quite in the way I have envisioned them
for this day. I need to examine my
emotions and feelings carefully and objectively.
My Legacy card
is Temperance reversed, flavored by the King of Wands. Fire, Fire everywhere! I had these two same cards with this
deck on April 23; interesting. Temperance
reversed/King of Wands.
Interesting. Temperance
corresponds with Sagittarius (“I seek,” philosophic, adventurous, blundering)
Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive, energetic
change), Samekh (the tent post), and the Path between Yesod (the place where
patterns and images emerge that may manifest into the physical world of action
and outer reality) and Tiphareth (the hub of the creation process where
energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify), and this card presents
one version of the concept of balance:
balance achieved through knowledge and experience of extremes. Of
course, in order to understand and work with extremes, we need to experience
them, and my reversed Temperance could be letting me know that such a time is
upon me. The King
of Wands (cusp of Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, nurturing, moody, and Leo, “I
am,” passionate, dramatic egotistical) is honest and open hearted, and rules
his realm through the advantageous use of his creative impulses. He is a natural leader with infectious
enthusiasm who is able to motivate others through his enthusiasm for new
experiences. This King of Fiery energy is certainly extreme, and since he is
flavoring my reversed Temperance today, Fire may be out of control. Watch out!!
My 6-digit date
number is 10, representing the end of a cycle, which reduces further to 1, the
number of position and potential.
Changeover day!
My horoscopes:
“You may receive some
important information today. This message could have a dramatic ripple effect
on your life. You may change jobs or even move to a different part of the
country, all as a result of the information you receive. You may be nervous
about making such dramatic changes to your life, but trust that they're for the
better. Dare to take the risk, Sagittarius.”
And: “If you are driving down a street in
your neighborhood and find TV crews with trucks, microphones and cameras
filming, don't be surprised. A newsworthy event of some kind could take place
within a few blocks of your home. A rally or other gathering might attract some
attention, as could a new innovation created by someone who lives nearby. Stay
out of the car today, however. Traffic could be a mess! If you have errands to
run, walk!”
My Shadowscapes
Insight is regarding the Page of Wands.
This card is about creativity, and it is about taking delight in
creativity of all kinds. An
improvised dance of joy, performed to a hidden beat? That is the specialty of this Page!!
The
next Wild Unknown card I am looking at today is: The Hierophant. What a cool
and powerful card! This Hierophant
is a raven, sitting on a black key, with a bolt of lightning coming down from
the upper right corner of the card and striking that key. Ravens are large, omnivorous, clever,
and probably intelligent creatures.
Ravens are devoted to their families, and are pretty much monogamous
(yet they sometimes cheat on their spouses!); they can mimic other sounds, and
can even manipulate other animals to act in a way that serves their own
purpose. Talk about working within
the system! They play, and will
even cross the species line. In
myth, the Raven is clever and tricky, true to his own needs and purposes but
willing to talk others into working with him. Ravens are know to take and hide items that they are
attracted to, and this Raven is holding onto and protecting a key, a potent
symbol of access to knowledge or wisdom.
The Hierophant is the guardian of knowledge and wisdom; he shares what
he knows with others and learns from them at the same time.
