Transparent Oracle Sunday!

35, Landscape: Forest (North). North is the direction of Earth, and thus of the physical or physically formed or manifested world, and of nurturing, health, finances and security, and the wisdom associated with living simply, being well-grounded, and being in touch with our physical body.  Forest is about the results over the long term, results which happen because of fertility and nurturing and patience; Forest represents the manifestation of age and wisdom and patience, connections (and results) that are not openly apparent but rather, like roots under the ground, are all around us.  Different energies can work together; a Forest is proof of that.

40, Elemental: Gnome (North).  Earth represents stable, material, practical energies that are slow to change; its dignities are cold/binds and dry/shapes.  The Gnome is about hard work, strength and patience; Gnome is the guardian of the Earth who meets each responsibility fully and completely; he may appear serious, but he is capable of some mischief.  And woe is the person who damages what he guards!

20, Elemental: Salamander (South). South is the direction of the midday sun and the peak of power and illumination; this direction is associated with passionate drive and creativity.  Salamander is also intense in personality, but this one is about consumption of fuel, and the changes and transformations that happen through consumption of fuel.  The changes presented by Salamander are more transmutation than transformation or metamorphosis.  Salamanders are actually known for putting out fires!  This is because they consume all fuel and then the flames themselves.  They are true experts, and know just how to handle Fire and its tricky nature.

I then stacked my cards and created my mandala.  This one is nicely balanced, and pleasing to look at.  The Gnomes fit well with the Forest (which makes perfect sense, as they could belong together), and Salamander loops into a small part of the Forest and into the Gnomes’ hats, adding a Fiery essence to the Earth.  I am being reminded that my world is connected, and it is my responsibility to nurture those connections.  I am also allowed to make use of them personally, but only in a balanced way, so that I don’t take more than I give.  I am also being reminded that the consumption of fuel brings a potent form of transformation, and oh boy, do I need that reminder today.  It has been a very cold week, and intense cold makes me want to wrap up in a blanket and read a book.  Not a very productive attitude.  My Salamanders are telling me that perhaps I need to create a bit of my own heat.  Okay!  I can do that.

Today I attended part 1 of another Advanced Yoga Intensive, this one dealing with movement disorders, and since I have a Yoga client with cerebral palsy, this Intensive is going to be quite gratifying.  Today I learned about Parkinson’s Disease, which in many ways is similar to the “palsies.”  I learne about what focuses are appropriate for those dealing with these kinds of movement disorders, and what focuses could be not as effective.  Next week we look at multiple sclerosis, which will deal with another side of the movement disorder category.  Awesome!!

Strength reversed/Three of Cups.  The Strength card (Fire, hot/separates and dry/shapes, and spontaneous, impulsive and energetic energy; Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic, egotistical; Teth, sieve or basket, digestion; and the Path between Geburah, the place where forms and structures are challenged or affirmed, and Chesed, the place where forms and structures are stabilized and nurtured) is about having the strength and the patience to endure and focus.  Endurand and focus, patience and strength, are also skills necessary to use magick or magickal powers, another meaning for the Strength card.  My card is reversed, however, and perhaps it is reversed because I won’t need to endure.  After all, my Three of Cups is upright, and my Strength card just might be reversed because I don’t need it right now.  The Three of Cups (Mercury, reason, intelligence, orderliness, communication, in Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody) is about connections, emotional abundance, and about blessings.  This card shows what could be born from the potential to experience potent emotions and feelings of the Ace, and the caring, attraction and chemistry of the Two; this could be a nice day, eh?  The nice thing about this card is that it represents the pledge to helping the group by the group.  No one is alone, and we are all connected.

My Thoth cards are the Princess of Cups and the Queen of Swords reversed.  The Princess/Page of Cups corresponds to Libra (“we are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation), Scorpio (“I desire,” intensity compulsion, mystery) and Sagittarius (“I seek,” philosophic, adventurous, blundering) and is a card of soft and tender energies and of getting fulfillment through connections to others, and through innocent and simple joys.  Crowley sees this card as representing a more immature version of the Queen of Cups, and that means she might be seeing the world through rose-colored glasses.  She is Earth of Water, and thus all about feelings and sensations, particularly pleasant feelings and sensations.  She is telling me that today I should enjoy whatever feelings roll over me, and perhaps manifest a bit of that pleasure into other parts of my day through a framework of optimism and child-like joy.  The Queen of Swords (cusp of Virgo, “I serve,” practical, sensible, work and service oriented, and Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation, grace) can be considered a Minor Arcana representation of the Justice card, which is about responsibility and the relationship between “cause” and “effect.”  The main difference is that while Justice is about the law, the Queen of Swords is about the intent behind the law.  She is Water of Air, and she is reversed.  I need to be careful today to not use analysis as my go-to option when I choose responses.  Don’t analyze, just enjoy!  That is what these two cards seem to be telling me.

My Legacy card is the Two of Cups, flavored by the Page of Swords.  The Two of Cups (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, family and home oriented, tenacious, moody) tells of about love and connections, usually having to do with feelings, relationships and commonalities, and a recognition or acknowledgement that a bond is beginning to happen, or is beginning to be restored after forgiveness is offered and received. The Llewellyn Welsh Two of Cups image contains the traditional Caduceus of Hermes (the Messenger of the Greek Gods, guide of the dead and protector of merchants, gamblers, liars and thieves), with a lion (representing strength, courage, authority over the subconscious, sound judgment and prudence) between the wings at the top.  The Caduceus of Hermes or Staff of Hermes shows a staff being climbed by two serpents (representing peace, rebirth, restoration and regeneration) entwined in the form of a double helix, and sometimes surmounted by wings.  The Roman version of Hermes is Mercury, and so the Caduceus of Hermes can be used to represent both the planet Mercury, and the elemental metal of the same name; thus, the Two of Cups is connected to alchemy.  These additional meanings add to our understanding of the Two of Cups, which presents the Minor Archana version of The Lovers.  Perhaps this Minor card is asking us to understand the hows and whys of human love, especially when we throw into the mix the concept of the power of beliefs and intentions.  The Page of Swords (Capricorn, “I build,” ambitious, competent, cautious, cunning, Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, society, cause-oriented, and Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, soul growth, spirituality) encourages us to use our mind and intellect to analyze our situations as well as our emotions and feelings.  This Page can be a bit on the serious side, but he is real good at asking the tough questions, and seeking the correct answers.  His efforts can be a bit on the secretive side, which might end up causing some issues today.  Yes, sometimes it is better to look but not speak, but today there could be some miscommunications or misunderstandings if I keep too quiet.  I’ve got lots of good Cups cards today, so perhaps my Page is just trying to balance out all that Water.  Balance is good.

My 6-digit date number is 6, the number of vertical and horizontal balance.

My horoscopes: “Career ascent--or pothole? Today's tricky square between the Moon in Virgo, your professionally driven tenth house, and restrictive Saturn in Sagittarius could result in some friction between work (especially situations involving authority figures) and your most cherished personal goals. A boss's agenda could thwart your own self-assertion—but don't climb over anyone else's back to get to the top, as it could backfire. While your true feelings may show on your face, do your best to come up with a practical solution, one that's win-win.”

And: “Communication with others could be extremely rewarding today, especially later on in the day. Project more of your energy outwards and join with others in projects that you might otherwise try to tackle on your own. Things should flow smoothly today, as long as you take a lighthearted and optimistic approach. Move forward with projects instead of just thinking about them and contemplating their completion.”

1/7/15

Queen of Pentacles reversed/King of Cups reversed.  The Queen of Pentacles (cusp of Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering, and Capricorn, “I build,” ambition, caution, cunning, authoritative) is very good at sustaining the physical world, keeping things dry and cozy and safe and orderly.  She has a “greatness of soul” and can easily manifest this greatness around her through the manifestation of her visualizations, and help everyone, including herself, in the process.  She is comfortable with all physical world sensations and experiences, she understands the philosophies behind building and healing and nurturing, and she is able to find beauty in all experiences.  Our Queen represents Water of Earth, and represents a time when emotions support the senses (or counteract them, if the card is reversed).  Today I just might find that my feelings and my senses are not in accord, and I should choose carefully which one I will listen to.  The King of Cups (cusp of Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation, and Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, controlling mysterious, obsessive) is the expert on emotions and the subconscious, mainly because of his life experiences.  He is able to be calm, caring and diplomatic when dealing with others, and still get things done by getting people working together in a productive way.  My King of Cups is also reversed; too bad these two aren’t upright because they would be a potent pair.  But no worries, I just need to focus on what is working for me today, and I need to be careful not to be envious of those who are able to get things done in my place.

My Thoth cards are the Queen of Cups and the Ten of Wands (“Oppression”) reversed.  The Queen of Cups (cusp of Gemini, “I think,” curious, sociable, dual, and Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive, tenacious, nurturing, moody) represents the energies of Water and The High Priestess manifested into the Minor Arcana.  Crowley sees this Queen as representing the Mother Goddess (and he sees The High Priestess as representing the Virgin Maiden Goddess).  She is comfortable with her own feelings and visions (whatever they are), and she is comfortable dealing with the feelings of others (whether serene or uncomfortable) without losing her own serenity.  She is chaste, not necessarily sexually chaste, but rather she is able to resist indulging in effects that might harm herself or others.  This makes her a good counselor, as well as a a romantic, a psychic, and when reversed, an enabler.  But she is upright, and her passive and serene energies might be just what I need today.  The Ten of Wands (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, limitations and resistance, in Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering) in an upright position tells of being taxed to some perceived limit, or of feeling as if we are out of gas at the bottom of a hill that must be climbed.  This card can also tell of a passion that has taken a life of its own and then gotten out of control or taken over everything else.  Without checks and balances to keep things under control, this is what happens, but those checks and balances will be able to divert the Oppression today.  No matter what, if I keep the inner landscape of my Queen of Cups, even the most odious and seemingly insurmountable task will finish itself up and fade away.

My Legacy card is Faith, flavored by The Magician reversed.  Faith is the name of the Legacy Hierophant.  The Hierophant corresponds with Earth (cold/binds and dry/shapes), Taurus (“I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn), Vau (the nail which holds tradition in place), and the Path between Chesed (the place where forms and structures are stabilized and nurtured), and Chokmah (dynamic male energy, the origin of vital force and polarity).  This card is an archetype of Spirit (with The Emperor as archetype of the Sacred Masculine, The Empress as archetype of the Sacred Feminine, and all three representing the supernal triad) that reminds us of the value of tradition, ritual and ceremony, and conforming to the rules and traditions with the aim of presenting the highest good of the group.  There is duty to be found in this card, as well as morality, and a suggestion that tradition should not be accepted blindly.  The Legacy Faith card presents a more universal spiritual concept than the traditional Hierophant (hence its name), as well as the more traditional rituals, dogma, orthodoxy, initiation, and levels of attainment within a spiritual practice.  Tradition and the good of the group are important today, and my thoughts and plans and actions should be manifested through this type of framework in order to do the most good.  My Faith/Hierophant is being flavored by The Magician reversed.  The Magician corresponds with Air (hot/separates and wet/adapts, and quick and animated energy which usually presents problems or challenges), Mercury (reason, intelligence, orderliness, communication), Beth (house; builder) and the Path between Binah (female, receptive energy and the origin of form and structure) and Kether (the source, limitless possibility).  The Magician works hard to perfect his abilities, to make use of those abilities in unexpected ways, and to focus and carry through to the end of a task (which is pretty important to him).  This card is personally significant to me; the skills of The Magician were gifted to me after a particulary harrowing experience, so having this card appear is empowering.  Because this card represents represents the deliberate and conscious manifestation of tangible knowledge, and more importantly the ability to control that manifestation, and because my Magician is reversed, he is reinforcing the importance of working toward the highest good of everyone, rather than my own personal good.  My reversed Magician is also warning me that the ego could be a problem today, especially if it appears that I am effective in helping others.  It might be better to remain somewhat in the background.

My 6-digit date number is 5, the number that tells of motion which disturbs stability in order to prevent stagnation.

My horoscopes: “Let the sun shine in! Today the Moon is conjunct adventurous Jupiter in Leo, your ninth house of travel and cross-cultural connections. The themes of the day are your sweet spot, Archer—think: expansion, journeys, higher education, a quest for greater understanding. How can you widen your perspective? Travel? Writing a book? Enrolling in a degree program? If you do go on a trip, be sure to find some good comrades to celebrate with along the way. Your mood is exceptionally generous—and life is so much sweeter when shared.”

And: “All dissatisfactions will be abolished today as you systematically confront and resolve all the little problems that have been bothering you lately. Your tolerance threshold is low, or non-existent. Give a wide berth to friends who have been irritating you lately. Your wardrobe improves dramatically as once and for all you discard all those clothes that don't fit, or no longer suit you.”

1/5/15

Two of Swords/Six of Wands reversed.  The Two of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Libra, “We are,” partnerships, balance, cooperation) in an upright position represents a time of not looking or of shutting out the world.  A bit of disconnect from the world can be helpful today because it allows me to achieve a pure inner focus.  In the end, the serenity created through this diconnect could allow the reconciliation of differences or cross-purposes. The Six of Wands (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Leo, “I am,” passionate, dramatic, noble, authoritative) in an upright position expresses the celebration we feel when we have passed some test or successfully met a challenge.  This card is about the sense of accomplishment and the recognition that happen when we stick to our own plan despite adversity, but it is reversed today.  Looks like I should not be focusing on victories or end results right now. Recognition is not the be-all and end-all of Purpose, and succeeding does not mean publicly announcing that success.

My Thoth cards are the Nine of Disks (“Gain”) reversed and the Queen of Disks. The Nine of Disks (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Virgo, “I serve,” practical, analytical, work and service oriented) tells of accomplishment through the imposition of discipline.  This card literally purrs with satisfaction, telling us that we should feel great satisfaction because of our accomplishments, which have occurred due to our own focus and discipline. There is an expectation of gain associated with this card when upright that might be more than physical-world or financial gain. Because the card is reversed, the gains I expect today may not play out as I wish or expect, or those gains may in the end be empty.  The Queen of Disks (cusp of Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering, and Capricorn, “I build,” ambition, caution, cunning, authoritative) is very good at sustaining the physical world, keeping things dry and cozy and safe and orderly.  Crowley sees this Queen as striving to manifest pleasurable surroundings without going overboard.  She has a greatness of soul, I guess, which means that she can be happy whether she is rich or poor, and she will gain pleasure from sharing whatever she has.

My Legacy card is the Six of Cups reversed, flavored by the Five of Wands.  Another reversed Six today! The Six of Cups (Sun, the inner core of a person or situation in Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, compulsive, deep, obsessive) is a card of innocence, emotional balance and harmony, of simple joy that begets even more simple joy by infecting all that is around us at this moment.  This card when it is upright is about friendship and play, teamwork, and drawing strength from shared experiences.  Looking at the past may not bring pleasure today, however, and I need to be careful that I am not distracted by the pleasures and pains of the past.  My reversed Six of Cups is being flavored by the Five of Wands. The Five of Wands, which corresponds with Saturn (discipline, responsibility, law and order) in Leo (“I am, passionate, dramatic, egotistical) indicates a struggle caused by annoying cross-purposes, or this discomfort could be caused by growing pains.  See?  Looking back and wishing the present or the future were the past is not good!

My 6-digit date number is 3, the number that tells of a new creation out of the potential and position of the Ace, and the balance, polarity, and energy of “distance between” of the 2.

My horoscopes : “Reel it in. As the Moon roves through Cancer, your resourceful eighth house, you're thinking more strategically about money matters, especially those that involve other parties. Think: credit cards, taxes, investments, real estate deals, business alliances and inheritances. Your fiscal fitness works best when you can think creatively about how to meet your needs and long-term security goals. When partnering up to maximize your bottom line, tune into hidden motivations. Once you understand where the other person is coming from, you can create a mutually beneficial relationship. Hello, win-win!”

And: “Move right in for the touchdown today, and don't stop until you are successful. Don't let other people's insecurities become your insecurities. Have confidence in yourself and the way you conduct yourself around others. Just because someone else is feeling sad doesn't mean that you have to as well, just to make them feel better. The best thing you can do in this situation is to turn it around by exhibiting sheer happiness and a fun loving attitude.”

1/4/15

Transparent Oracle Sunday!  The first one of this year.

69, DNA/Labyrinth (Within). Within is the direction of the Self, and thus the cards associated with this direction deal with the ways our Self connects to the world and perceives the world, and the Self.  This direction is mostly abstract, and yet is our bridge to the Universe around us.  The DNA/Labyrinth card is a card of self-exploration, and it offers me a chance to become acquainted with myself and to own my personal identity.  Ancient wisdom and modern science linked together; I like that!

15, Landscape: Desert (South). South is the direction of the midday sun and the peak of power and illumination; this direction is associated with passionate drive and creativity.   Desert represents an extreme environment that upon initial examination seems to preclude life; actually this Landscape just challenges life, severely, but if we see that challenge as a chance to test our endurance and our ability to adapt to difficult situations, we will prosper.

43, Sun (Above). The direction of Above takes us up and out of the four traditional elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth, and reminds us that we are but a small part of the Cosmos.  Above also reminds us that while the Machinery of the Universe is huge, it does have an effect on each of us, and each of us is an important part of the workings of that Machinery.  The Sun brings light and warmth into our world, and thus life can exist.  The light illuminates truth, and the warmth brings wealth, success and happiness.  Our sun has a corona, so The Sun tells of charisma and brilliance.

I then stacked my cards and created my mandala.  Wow, talk about a metaphor!!  The Labyrinth is surrounded by the challenges of the Desert; at the center of it all is the Sun.  All evoluntion happens because of challenges, whether we are talking about the evolution of a species or of a person.  I am being told that hidden within any challenge is the opportunity to be healthy and fertile.  If we can follow the winding and sometimes obscure path before us, the end result will be illumination.  A simple yet oh-so-powerful message!  I like this reminder, and will be thinking about it all week.

1/3/15

The Magician/The High Priestess reversed.  Oooooooh! Because this card represents represents the deliberate and conscious manifestation of tangible knowledge (and the ability to control that manifestation), he is reminding me of the skills I have worked so very hard to perfect, and he is encouraging me to use them. The High Priestess (Water; the Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination; Gimel, the camel who safely crosses Da’ath, the Abyss, and thus, has the secret of life; and the Path between Tiphareth, the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and clarify, and Kether, the source, limitless possibility), is one-half of the Major Arcana representation of the Sacred Feminine, with The Empress being the other half. The High Priestess is the source of the power of The Magician (who is also in this pair), the feminine version of The Hierophant, and the Keeper of the Mysteries.  She is the Gatekeeper who determines whether I am ready to experience the Mysteries, and she is somewhat removed from everyday life although her mind is receptive.  She is not about mental analysis at all; when upright, she tells me that in order to access the Mysteries she guards, I must know my inner self completely, and accept the messages of my Inner Voice, even if they defy analysis.  She is reversed today, and while she offers a validation of The Magician’s outward manifestation because she is reversed, she also offers a bit of a warning.  One thing The Magician can have trouble with is remembering that his power is not sourced from within him; I need to keep humble today.

My Thoth cards are the Eight of Cups (“Indolence”) and the Ace of Disks. The Eight of Cups (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, limitation, law and order, in Pisces, “I believe,” feeling, duality, suffering, soul growth) tells of an ending or a decline or a change of direction, often one associated with emotions, and it offers one possible response to that decline or change: moving on.  Crowley sees this one as the “hangover card” because the outcome of indolence and overindulgence is often a hangover.  This is an appropriate card to see today, as I return to aerobic discipline after a long weekend of celebration.  Today is a new day, and I need to leave behind what no loger serves me.  Aces present potential only, and the Ace of Disks (Aries, “I want,” action oriented, assertive, competitive, Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn, and Gemini, “I think,” curious, talkative, dual, social) tells of the presence of potential that is connected in some way to the physical world, and perhaps the physical world is where I can have the most impact today.  Crowley calls this card the root of the element of Earth, and thus it tells of all possibilities within that element, from the very best to the very worst.  I like the fact that this card is here along with the Eight of Cups.  Sounds like I should be able to begin my return to balance, eh?

My Levacy card is the King of Swords, flavored by the Five of Coins. The King of Swords (cusp of Capricorn, “I build,” ambitious, cautious, cunning, authoritative, and Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, cause-oriented, aloof) is a good judge of people and situations. He uses his intellect to analyze, so he may not be compassionate but he is trustworthy, and he can be trusted to fiercely stand by his decisions.  The Legacy King of Swords certainly looks regal and fearsome, like someone who can proclaim his judgment for the best of all, without softness or mercy.   He can be seen as one facet of the Justice card, and his kind of analysis based on experience and wisdom may be useful today.  My King of Swords is being flavored by the Five of Coins. The Five of Coins (Mercury, reason, intelligence, education, skill, communication, in Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn) tells of some loss or need within the physical world.  Sometimes this card can indicate an inability to balance personal issues with professional issues, something our King of Swords might experience.  It is difficult to be objective when someone we know is in need, and sometimes we should help them out; other times we need to give them the opportunity to grow and learn on their own.  Which will it be today?  Even if I will be facing the more difficult version, there is a lesson to be learned, and that is a good thing.

My 6-digit date number is 10, the end of a cycle, which reduces further to 1, the number of position and potential.

My horoscopes: “When lighthearted Venus departs your serious second house of practical matters, where it's been decamped since December 10, you'll finally be able to let your hair down. Starting today, the sensual planet brightens Aquarius and your garrulous third house. You could sell lattes to a barista—but save your gift of gab for something more meaningful, like putting together the ultimate Team Sag. With even just a few equally talented co-conspirators, there's no telling how successful you could be.”

And: “Your playful attitude is apt to be met with opposition by someone who refuses to see things your way. Walk away from those who aren't committed to helping with the situation. It could be that there are people out there who are purposefully trying to sabotage your plan. You are too smart to fall into this sort of trap. Prove to others that even though you may be happy, that doesn't mean that you are gullible.”

1/2/15

The Sun/Seven of Swords reversed. The Sun corresponds with Fire (hot/separates and dry/shapes, spontaneous, impulsive and energetic change), our Sun (the inner core of a person or situation), Resh (the face; reason), and the Path between Yesod (the place where patterns and images emerge that may manifest in the physical world) and Hod (provides analysis and communication), and it tells of a time of enlightenment and peace that comes after the completion of some ordeal. The traditional image on this card usually includes a wall, reminding me that the light is not eternal. The Sun is about direct illumination (rather than the reflected and sometimes distorted illumination of The Moon).  I like that this card is at the top of my spread today, for the light of The Sun shines on the other cards.  The Seven of Swords (Moon, feelings and emotions, illusion, imagination, in Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, cause-oriented, the group, aloofness) tells of the effort to maintain things as we want them, often through the use of deception and without considering the wants or needs of others.  Trying to keep things the same is an exercise in futility, and I’m glad that today, the illumination of The Sun will show me better uses of my intellect and Will.

My Thoth cards are The Hanging Man and the Five of Disks (“Worry”). The Hanging Man corresponds with Water (cold/binds and wet/adapts, and emotional, sensitive and imaginative energy that tends to move deep, and attempts to take the same path as in the past), Neptune (inspiration, spirituality, magick, enchantment, dreams, altered states), and the Hebrew letter Mem (water, stability and balance, the reflective quality of thought), and presents the kind of balance that comes to us through surrender, and through deliberately attempting to see things in a different way.  This card tells of destiny, as well as sacrifice and loss, and passive or mystical initiation.  All of these do not have an accidental feel about them at all. Crowley warns us that the suspension brought by this card can either hint that we are waiting for someone else to take charge, or that we are sacrificing for the benefit of others.  Either of those interpretations can either be appropriate or harmful, depending on the situation. The Five of Disks (Mercury, reason, intelligence, education, skill, communication, in Taurus, “I have,” sensual, cautious, stubborn) tells of some loss or need within the physical world.  This card tells of wandering aimlessly looking for help and not finding it; hmmmm, could this be the source of the suspension of activity of my Hanging Man?  Since the image on the Thoth Five of Disks shows an upside-down pentacle, I may have a hint to the trouble.  Spirit is not the main focus today, and perhaps it should be.  Success is not just measured by material possessions, and material possessions are empty if they are not accompanied by love and passion and spirit.

My Legacy card is the Two of Coins reversed, flavored by the Knight of Wands reversed. The Two of Coins (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Capricorn, “I build,” ambition, caution, cunning) in an upright position reminds us that everything always ebbs and flows, and we need to do the same in order to remain dynamically balanced.  Because my card is reversed, I am being told that perhaps I am not working hard enough to integrate what is over with what is happening now, or with what is to come.  There needs to be a balance between those aspects of life, and if I focus on just one for too long, I will lose that balance.  My Two of Coins is being flavored by the Knight of Wands reversed.  The Knight of Wands (cusp of Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, controlling, deep, obsessive, and Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering) usually represents a person of passion, courage, enthusiasm and boundless energy; most definitely not background-type efforts.  Often, this Knight is shown riding a proudly prancing horse, and this motion filled with confidence is a good indication of the energy of the card.  My Knight adds passion to my day, but because he is reversed, I need to resist his impulsive nature.  I should be real careful that if I jump into the fight, the fight itself is worth it.  Taken with my reversed Two of Coins, my reversed Knight tells me that balance rather than a swift, strong expression, may be the key of the day.

My 6-digit date number is 9, the completeness of manifestation or effect.

My horoscopes: “Today's sweet-talking Moon in Gemini stokes your seventh house of relationships, putting the potential for a new partnership at level red. If the lone-wolf act is getting old and you're ready to become part of a dynamic duo, keep your eyes and ears peeled for a new collaborator. Everyone who comes into your orbit now has something to offer, and your willingness to strike up a conversation with "random" people is what could lead to the discovery of your secret synergies!”

And: “The social agitation that has been in your life for the last three weeks is coming to an end. The celestial energy will help you to learn some lessons and prepare for the next cycle. It would be great if you had some success and honors because this would help you confront the upcoming weeks, which will be a time of meditation and feeling a little bit disconnected from the world.”
