Knight
of Wands/Three of Pentacles. The
Knight of Wands (cusp of
Scorpio, “I desire,” intense, controlling, deep, obsessive, and Sagittarius, “I
seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering) usually represents a person of
passion, courage, enthusiasm and boundless energy; most definitely not
background-type efforts.
This Knight can be seen to represent the coming and going of energy, but that
process may not be effective because things are not seen through to completion.
Energy may be high today, but scattered. The Three of Pentacles (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression,
drive, in Capricorn, “I build,” ambition, cunning, competence) tells of
competence, planning and teamwork.
I am being reminded that the end result I desire might be more easily
achieved if I make use of the people around me. We both win if the end result is good.
My
Thoth cards are The Six of Cups (“Pleasure”) reversed and the Seven of Swords
(“Futility”). The Six
of Cups (Sun, the inner core of a person or situation in Scorpio, “I desire,”
intense, compulsive, deep, obsessive) is a card of innocence, emotional balance
and harmony, of simple joy that begets even more simple joy by infecting all
that is around us at this moment.
This card in an upright position is about friendship and play, teamwork,
and drawing strength from shared experiences. Because the card is reversed, situations may not seem quite
so innocent. The Seven of Swords (Moon, feelings and
emotions, illusion, imagination, in Aquarius, “I know,” friendships,
cause-oriented, the group, aloofness) in an upright position tells of the
effort to maintain things as we want them, often through the use of deception
and without considering the wants or needs of others. This card can also be referring to the effort necessary to
maintain things, or lack of effort thereof. Because my card is reversed, I am being told that maintaining
things as they are (or as I expect they are) is not the right plan. Moving forward and releasing the past
might be betters.
My
Legacy card is the Two of Cups reversed flavored by the Ten of Swords reversed.
The Two of
Cups (Venus, beauty, allure, relationships, in Cancer, “I feel,” sensitive,
family and home oriented, tenacious, moody) tells of love and connections,
usually having to do with feelings, relationships and commonalities, and a
recognition or acknowledgement that a bond is beginning to happen, or is
beginning to be restored after forgiveness is offered and received. This card
is similar to the Six of Cups above, except that its energies usually focus on
one other person, rather than the group hinted at by the Six of Cups. Because my card is reversed,
connections might appear strained, at least on the surface. My reversed Two of Cups is being
flavored by the Ten of Swords, also reversed. The Ten of Swords (the Sun, the
inner core of a person or situation, in Gemini, “I think,” curious, sociable,
dual, talkative) tells of the perception that interference, powerlessness and
restriction will rule the day.
Interference, there’s that word again, but thankfully my Ten of Swords
is also reversed. The traditional
image on this one is of a body laying on its stomach, with ten Swords sticking
up out of his back. Talk about overkill! The suit of Swords is about the mind
and the intellect, and because this card is reversed, I just might be able to
see the silver lining to even an uncomfortable situation.
My
6-digit date number is 7, the number that tells of the pause that occurs when
growth slows and degeneration approaches.
My
horoscopes: “Oh, why the heck not? Make that your stock answer today
when people approach you with fun and even outrageous ideas. The Moon in your
playful fifth house aligns with devil-may-care Jupiter in your adventure zone,
tempting you to throw caution to the wind. An opportunity to travel, even just
for a weekend trip, could present itself. If it sounds too good to miss, don't
let your duties keep you from accepting. Find a way to make it all work.”
And: “Today
is like playing a game on your home field, Nanci. You have fans out there
supporting you and you know the territory. Take advantage of the little things
that you have going for you. There is a dramatic force at work that may be
erratic, but extremely powerful as long as you can maintain control. Stay
focused on your goals. True happiness is only a small step away!”
