The
Empress/Nine of Cups. Niiice!! The Empress (my significator card, which
corresponds with Earth (cold/binds and dry/shapes, and stable, material,
practical energies that are slow to change), Venus (beauty, allure, pleasure,
relationships), the Hebrew letter Daleth (door or womb) and the Path between
Binah (female receptive energy and the origin of form and structure) and
Chokmah on the Tree of Life (dynamic male energy and the origin of vital force
and polarity)) is one half of the Major Arcana representation of the Sacred
Feminine (along with The High Priestess), the half that is about creativity,
fertility of all kinds, a deep connection to Nature and the nurturing of
others, and an enjoyment of the senses. My Empress, who is the mother of form, tells
of creative intelligence; she reveals the concepts guarded by The High
Priestess, and she encourages me to immerse myself in the manifestations of the
physical world . The Nine of Cups (Jupiter, expansiveness and growth, justice, fortune, in Pisces, “I believe,” feelings, duality, suffering,
soul growth) is about emotional satisfaction and the ability to find pleasure
in feelings and emotions, and in our expectations for the day. This card is about fulfillment and good
times, about experiencing good luck, and perhaps getting what we wished
for. What could be better than these two cards?
My
Thoth cards are the Ten of Wands (“Oppression”) reversed and the Two of Wands
(“Dominion”) reversed. Actually,
this pair is good, too. The
Ten of Wands (Saturn, discipline, responsibility, limitations and resistance,
in Sagittarius, “I seek,” philosophic, fun-loving, blundering) in an upright
position tells of being taxed to some perceived limit, or of feeling as if we are out of gas at the bottom
of a hill. This card can also tell
of a passion that has taken a life of its own and gotten out of control. The
Two of Wands (Mars, action, spontaneity, aggression, drive, in Aries, “I want,”
action oriented, pioneering, assertive, enthusiastic) in an upright position tells
of power, influence and authority, and the implementation of the Will. This card is about personal power and
making a statement of ownership, neither of which will be effective for me
today. These two cards are telling
me to chill out a bit, and maybe not worry about being the rainmaker today. Good message for a Friday!
My
Legacy card is The Lovers reversed, flavored by the King of Swords reversed. The Lovers (Air, hot/separates and
wet/adapts, quick and animated, intellectual, problems or challenges; Gemini,
“I think,” curious, talkative, sociable, dual; Zayin, double-edged sword; and
the Path between Tiphareth, the hub of the creation process where energies harmonize and focus to illuminate and
clarify, and Binah, female receptive energy and the origin of form and
structure) tells of duality, union, and personal choices. This card is about love, but it is also
about our personal values and how they affect our choices, and the promises we
make to others. The Lovers present
the two halves that when united are greater than the sum of their parts, in
other words, The Lovers is about a unity that is necessary for fertility and
creativity to have an effect. Today
I need to remember that uniting my choice with my actions will have
consequences, and they might not be pleasant. My Lovers is being flavored by the reversed King of Swords. The King of Swords
(cusp of Capricorn, “I build,” ambitious, cautious, cunning, authoritative, and
Aquarius, “I know,” friendships, the group, cause-oriented, aloof) in an
upright position is a good judge of people and situations. He uses his
intellect to analyze, so he may not be compassionate but he is trustworthy, and
he can be trusted to fiercely stand by his decisions. My King is reversed, and he is flavoring my reversed
Lovers. I need to have a care
today as far as analysis related to situations in which I am perceived as an
authority, and as far as analysis related to any personal choices I may choose
to make. Maybe those choices need
to be delayed a bit.
My 6-digit
date number is 5, the number that tells of motion that ends stability in order
to prevent stagnation.
My
horoscopes: “Money can symbolize many things, Sagittarius, and today,
something to do with your finances could leave you feeling rattled to the core,
as Pluto joins forces with the Moon in your second house of material gains and
losses. You could feel like your security is being undermined by somebody with
control over your earning—or spending—power. If this is the case, try to
remember that your bank statement is essentially just a list of numbers. Your
true security comes from within, so work on reinforcing that instead.”
And: “You
may not feel like you are exactly "clicking" with anything today.
Indeed, adjustments will need to be made, either on your part, or on the part
of the people you are dealing with, in order for there to be any sort of
resolution. Your emotions may be feeling tied to the ground yet your mind may
want to take off into the stratosphere. Dilemmas between deciding whether to
act or be passive may leave you paralyzed. Just go with the flow.”
